CARC INC’s Child development Center currently serves children from the age of 8 weeks to 30 months of age. While the Center does serve CARC clients, it also serves families in Carlsbad that are not currently enrolled in Child Development Services. The Child Development Center is open Monday through Friday from 5:45 am to 5:30 pm. Our staff is CPR certified and has been trained in basic first aid. The Child Development Center is one of the highest accredited Child Care Centers in Southeastern NM and it is accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA).
Activities are planned to help develop the whole child: socially, emotionally, physically and mentally. The children have fun and learn in a safe environment.
Child Development Center’s Goal
Our goal is to provide quality childcare. At the Child Development Center we take pride in our small classroom ratios. Our infant class, ages 8 weeks to 12 months, has a ratio of 4 children to 1 adult. Our Toddler Class, ages 12-24 months, has a ratio of 1 adult to 5 children and in our 24-30 month class the ratio is 1 adult to 7 children. These very small classes provide an optimum learning environment as well as increased safety for the children.
