Farmhouse bargain store

The Bargain Store is a thrift store that sells a variety of clothes, books, furniture etc., that are donated by the community. The Bargain Store first opened in 1991 with a simple dream and the visionary efforts of three board members. Barbara Forrest, Jane Skinner and Melissa Farley wanted a resource for volunteers and revenue for the clients. In the seventeen years since its inception, the Bargain Store has been a tremendous success. With an inventory that is always overflowing with quality items, there is something for everyone.

The revenue generated by the Bargain Store goes directly to support the clients at CARC. Thanks to tremendous community support, the Bargain Store has generated over 2 million dollars worth of support. It is a testimony to the hard work of the tireless volunteers and the dedicated community of Carlsbad, for making the Bargain Store a success.
